Talk:List of famous APL users

How is fame judged? Isn't Roger Moore famous for reasons other than APL specifically? Isn't Roger Hui in the same category as Iverson and Whitney? Adám Brudzewsky (talk) 21:56, 25 November 2020 (UTC)

Of course it has to be subjective, but I've never heard a mention of Moore or Hui from anyone who isn't an APL user. What's Moore famous for, writing an ALGOL compiler? Lots of people have done that and most of them don't even get Wikipedia pages. Brenner is really borderline; I might remove him now that I see his Wikipedia article was almost entirely written by Roger Hui and not anyone interested in law or DNA. --Marshall (talk) 22:24, 25 November 2020 (UTC)
