"Case-folding"
Case folding

Currently listed as "textvektor", but I think "zeichenvektor" is better, as per https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Char_(Datentyp) while "text" implies a 1-dimensional human-readable sequence, "zeichenvektor" is extendable to "zeichenskalar" and "zeichenmatrix".

Execute
Lt. Lochner und Lattermann "Aktivieren", doch "Ausführen" erscheint sinnvoller.

Aber es gibt auch Gründe für Aktivieren

⍎'9+4'    ⍝ Das ist ausführen

⍎'9'      ⍝ Das nenne ich aktivieren
:No, ⍎'9' is also ausführen. '9' is a valid APL expression. ⎕FI/⎕VFI are "aktivieren".

"Tacit function"
Tacit function
I don't like "Stille Funktion" as that is confusable with a shy function, though that should arguably be "Scheue Funktion". "Stille" sounds to me like the function is quiet in the sense that it exhibits no observable effect, i.e. the "stille" goes on flow from the function to the world (the result), while tacit functions are quiet in the sense of not mentioning the outside world (the arguments). The meaning of "tacit" here is that the arguments are implied rather than stated, so maybe "implizite Function" is better? :"Stille" was based on a suggestion from JoHo, but your argument sounds reasonable. Mathematics also know about "implicit fns" and I think they could be seen as relatives, so I will change. --MichaelBaas (talk) 12:47, 13 November 2020 (UTC)

"Train(s)"
Train
Ich überlegte hier, ob nicht "Folge" passend wäre - aber letztlich war dann eine Anmerkung von Richard Smith ausschlaggebend: "Train'  is a general word to mean a sequence or line of things (https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/train) Its use to describe the thing that drives along railway tracks is so common you might think that's the only thing it means, but it's just a specific case: a train of engine and carriages. Another common use of the word is in "train of thought", which is the sequence of steps in coming to some conclusion. ("I was thinking about how to fix this bug but then the doorbell rang and I lost my train of thought"). So, an APL train is a train (or sequence) of functions."

⍴ as Form/Umform rather than Struktur/Stukturiere
Struktur/Stukturiere sounds more like the structure that includes nestedness, whereas Form/Umform gives me more a feeling of the outer shape, ignoring inner structure. <syntaxhighlight lang=apl inline>(∊complicatedArray)←simpleVectorData</syntaxhighlight> sounds like Stukturieren to me.
Compare an Ausstechform (a cookie cutter) is something that dictates the outer shape, not concerning itself with the composition of the dough (the array content).
